BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Community Building
November 20, 2024 @ 7:00 pm
Attending board members: Mayor Dave Mueller. Julius Maes, Steve Blades Jill Dzekunskas. Absent: Sid Dev, Sue Aldred, and Emali Porter.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
Solar Stone gave a presentation about the solar projects in the area.
October Board Minutes, October Treasurers’ Report, and November Invoices payable
Motion to approve Steve Blades, 2nd Julius Maes, roll call vote, all ayes.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman –Water leak was fixed by the school. Barricades will be up for a while to see if the ground settles.
Community Events & Building Permits – Emali Porter – Halloween Party was a success.
Police & Ordinances - Sue Aldred – Police have given out 4 warnings.
Garbage & Emergency Plan – Jill Dzekunskas – Air tanks and air dryer were purchased for the garbage truck. Garbage route will be starting about 6:30 on Wednesday mornings due to it being dark. Jim Vanstaden has saved the Village a lot of money by working on the equipment.
Streets – Steve Blades –We will be prepping the truck snow plowing.
Village Equipment – Julius Maes – We will be contacting Chad Anderson to discuss snow plowing this year as a back up plan.
MAYOR’S REPORT
Budget – Discussion on budget.
Shelter in the Park & IDNR Grant – Work on the grant will continue in the spring.
Housing Rehab Round 2 –We need more people to apply for this grant. We need 10 applicants to be able to keep this grant.
Electronic Sign – The foundation is poured, waiting on Ameren to check the meter. The company will help us hook up the sign.
